? Gold mine in the Wynaad
P.O.P. 20.7 x 28.2 cm. Probably a gold mine in the Wynaad, which Penn photographed in 1881, but it could be Kolar where Edgar Penn worked in the early 1900s. The trucks on the conveyor appear to be carrying material mined from the hill. Large pipes awaiting asssembly below indicate the need for water in the manufacturing process. One man squatting in the foreground. Five men further back with equipment.
